Spring Raptor Youth Club Teams are a great way to get ahead of the competition. We will be competing in some of the best tournaments the midwest has to offer. Your son will be getting the upper edge while scrimmaging indoors, getting live at bats and facing live hitters throughout the Spring season. Your son will be coached by the best coaches in the state of MN with a development first mentality while playing at the highest level, and competing for Championships at all levels.

Ages: 9U-14U

Practices: 2x a week (March- April) Endless live at bats inside with Rapsodo hitting machine, scrimmages and pitching/defensive instruction.

Tournaments: 2 (subject to change)

1. April 12-13th Des Moines, IA CIS Kick Off Classic NIT USSSA 

2. April 26-27th Des Moines, IA CIS Midwest Mayhem Super NIT USSSA

Price: $1000.

Age cut-off is April 30th (or whatever your age is on April 30th) For example, if you are trying out for 12U, you need to be 12 or less years of age before April 30th of the same year.

What to bring to tryouts:

Tryouts are usually a few hours long  so make sure your son brings water and snack.  Please wear a full uniform (pants, hat and shirt/jersey).  If you have your own bat, bring it.  Indoor tryouts so please wear turf shoes ONLY.

What to expect:

Expect a lot of quality ball players since it is a club tryout, good competition and a good baseball setting/environment.  Each player will go through defensive work including outfield, infield, catcher pop times, batting practice and bullpens.

Tryout Itinerary: (in order how HTP will evaluate)

1. Hitting (8 swings front toss, 8 swings over hand/machine)

2. Fielding (infield 4 balls, straight up, forehand, back hand, slow roller)

3. Pitching and Catching (10 pitches, 6 fastballs, 4 change ups/curve balls 13U+) Catchers will catch a minimum of 2 pitchers to get graded on framing, blocking, throws back/throw downs

Spring 2025 Tryouts:  January 11th @HTP (New Burnsville Location!)

9U-12U: 2:30-4:30pm 

13U-14U: 4:45-6:45pm

Make Up:  January 18th @HTP (New Burnsville Location!)

9U-12U: 2:30-4pm

13U-14U: 4-5:30pm
